The planning of this theater began on May 1st 1916. After several meetings, a committee was formed to build the theater, with different personalities linked to Estremoz, as Dr. Marques Crespo, Dr. Jose Rosado da Fonseca, Carlos Frederico Luna and Mr. Jose Maria Reynolds Graça Zagalo.
