SOLAR OF THE PACHECO (BULLÓN DE MENDOZA)

This house belonged to Dona Maria Honorato Ossorio and Pacheco, who married in 1825 with Don Manuel de Mendoza and Gonzalez Torres de Navarra, son of the Earls of Berrona.

hey had no offspring so the building went for the Mendoza, inheriting the Marchioness of Selva Alegre, mother of the present Marquis, Knight of the Holy Sepulchre. In this palace there is the Church of the Convent of Hope, little remains of what was once the building, in archaeological terms, only the chapel featuring a granite lintel doorway and a shield with the arms of the patrons of the convent. This beaterio was founded in 1558 and was part of that founded San Pedro de Alcántara, although the final location was 1594. In the year 1701 it had 18 nuns and 3 colleagues. It was after the seizure secularized and turned into a private home.
