GATE OF BURGOS

It consists of a tower and a stretch of wall in which a pointed arch under which runs one of the busiest streets of Jerez, the Templar Street.

This door is quoted from the late fifteenth century and was partly destroyed in 1706, repaired in 1707 during the War of Succession, but the most recent reconstruction is from a few decades ago. The door opens as vain pointed with granite keystones, under the same crenellated walls and next to a tower taller.
